Editorial Guidelines

These guidelines govern how every article on CurrentBeam is created, reviewed, and corrected. They exist so readers can judge our work against the standards we set for ourselves.

1. Sources come first

  • Every article is based on published reporting from established outlets, official announcements, regulatory filings, or primary data.
  • Key facts are linked inline to their sources. Readers should never have to take our word for a checkable claim.
  • If we cannot find at least two independent, reliable sources for a topic, we do not publish it.

2. Honest use of AI tools

We use AI-assisted research and drafting tools as part of our workflow, and we disclose that openly. The rules we hold these tools to are strict:

  • Drafting works only from the source material we collect — the tools are instructed never to invent quotes, statistics, names, dates, or events.
  • Automated checks reject drafts that lack citations to the collected sources or that contain content we cannot trace.
  • A human reviews articles against their cited sources before they are published.

3. Accuracy and corrections

  • Errors are corrected promptly once identified, and a correction note is added to the article.
  • To report an error, email corrections@currentbeam.website — include the article URL and the issue.
  • Articles we can no longer stand behind are removed rather than left live.

4. What we do not publish

  • Fabricated or unverifiable claims presented as fact
  • Medical, financial, or legal advice — our coverage in these areas is informational only
  • Hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that incites harm
  • Sponsored content without clear disclosure

5. Advertising

CurrentBeam is supported by advertising (including Google AdSense). Advertisers have no influence over editorial decisions, article topics, or conclusions. Ads are visually distinct from editorial content.

6. Attribution

Articles are published under the CurrentBeam Editorial Team byline. This reflects how they are actually produced: a tool-assisted, source-grounded workflow with human editorial review, rather than the work of a single staff writer.
